We’re always on the hunt for good, authentic Burmese food as they’re hard to come by, so we were excited to try this place out. It did not disappoint, the food and flavors were delicious! You can also adjust the strength of the tea and add condensed milk, tasted fantastic either way. Reminded me of Hong Kong style milk and Thai milk tea, but more fragrant and less sweet! Loved the experience and hope to come back soon!
You don't usually see a Burmese restaurant even in a diverse place like California. Great comfort food, tried the pickled tea leaf salad... very unique but definitely won't fill you up by itself. Also ordered the Kyay-O (soup) noodles, which was delicious as well.
This restaurant is excellent. I didn’t expect the food to taste so authentic, especially since most Burmese restaurants in America I’ve been to don’t offer a truly traditional flavor. They usually just make dishes that resemble it. If you really want to experience authentic Burmese food, I’m sure this restaurant will deliver it perfectly.
Honestly one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. I’ve had Burmese food in Singapore and fell in love with the food from this country. It is so unbelievably diverse! We can’t understand why more people don’t seek it out—with its influences from China to India it has something for everyone. My husband and I went here yesterday and everything was incredible— we got the pickled tea leaf salad, goat curry (original), iced tea, and kyay-o noodles dry with brain. The salad was amazing— if you like Caesar salad you’d love this— the umami from the fermentation tastes like anchovy and Parmesan and the crunchy toppings make each bite a textural delight. I could eat it every day. The curry had such a depth of flavor and the perfect level of heat. And the noodles were phenomenal and we loved t
This Burmese restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is clean and inviting and the service is great. We had Myanmar tea, a nice balance of sweetness and creaminess but could be a bit stronger. (For me) The pork sticks were decent but not the standout dish. (I wish they would serve with cucumber) Mote Hin Khar and Kyay Oh Si Chat were phenomenal, authentic, flavorful and perfectly executed. Kyay Oh Si Chat was my favorite and the soup was absolutely fire!!!!🔥🔥 On top of all that, the prices are affordable and the quality of food is excellent. Definitely a must visit spot for Burmese cuisine lovers!
