Folsom Public Library

A nation without reading. Are nations done for! This majestic place is setting on this public area for City of Folsom, Folsom lions city park, tge sanctuary zoo, and the rodeo arena of Folsom. Its a vein of good cultured life, right here in Folsom. Ample wheelchair friendly parking, restrooms, computers, very good working hours , ixcluding Sundays and Mondays off. Amazing staff. Summer Saturday visit just to use the restroom while attending the classic & hot rod car show at Folsom City Lyons Park adjacent to the library. The library building looks mid century modern even though it was built in the early 2000’s. Library appears to be a popular spot for parents with preschool children today.

We love this place. Just be ready though if you’re bringing your kids here to be sick a few days after being here. EVERYTIME we’ve been here within a day or two we start getting cold symptoms. My son loves it, so I brought my own mini Lysol. I wiped down the keyboard and my napkin was black. My son learns on the computers with the little games, but parents do not watch their kids, and even worse when they do, they still don’t tell their kids to cover their mouth. Sneezing and coughing.directly on all the toys and computers. I told the lady at the front and she said well we clean everything once on Saturday’s if that makes you feel better, it doesn’t. Parents just need to not bring their obviously sick kids here and even if they don’t know they’re sick, at least teach your child to cover th

I’ve been here many times as a kid & now back as an adult. The 2 times I’ve had to ask for help both women were very nice. The woman who helped me get a library card at the front desk had dyed grey hair I believe-edgier style. She was super nice. Then today I needed help printing & the woman who was working the desk in the adult book/printing section at 3pm was amazing. I think she could tell I was struggling so she said if I needed any help that she’s right there. Then, my dollar wouldn’t go through to pay so she gave me one that wasn’t torn & helped me the rest of the way. I appreciate the help a lot.
