Florence Community Center and Viney Jones Library

We are visiting the Florence area for a couple months. While here, I had to deal with a Medicare issue which involved printing and copying documents for a dispute. Needless to say, I was frustrated and not very eager to do this in an unfamiliar setting. But the minute I stepped into the library, I was put at ease. The very pleasant young lady at the desk, greeted us and immediately assured us that everything I had to do could be done there. She very willingly helped me with the printing from my computer and the copying of the documents I had. She didn't make me feel like a bother, instead she was very respectful and caring. The library and community center is a gorgeous part of Florence. Plenty of open space, great material collection, and family friendly. Even the outside is beautiful to see if you take the opportunity to walk around. Close to a large local park, aquatic center, and other recreational spaces. Definitely stop by whether you're visiting or living in the area!

Small but nice!! Large parking space. Lots of study area which is really awesome. Large space for children's related readings. Staffs address welcoming!

I absolutely love this facility! The parks and recreation staff are always so inviting with a smile on their face. If anyone ever asked me about the facility I would hands down only have good things to say.

I have yet to have a good experience at this library. When I’ve come previously, it’s been too loud for working, and today was closed for practically the whole day. The lobby was open, so I went into a quiet room off to the side… only to have an employee come in an hour later and rudely announce the “whole facility” was closed, when it clearly wasn’t when I arrived (three others were using the lobby space). No signs indicated the whole building was closed. This library may have many purposes, but providing a quiet place for study, work, or research isn’t one of them.
