We had a great experience & the food was really good! The gumbo, beignets & broiled oysters were excellent! The jambalaya & creole pasta were also pretty good but not amazing like the other items. Next time we’d skip the crawfish dip but had a wonderful experience.
Me and my friend came here on a whim, and we were not disappointed. I ordered the seafood risotto, and she got the catfish ponchartrain. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was live, but not overwhelming. The service was great too. I would definitely come here again.
My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town & wanted some catfish. As I was doing my google restaurant search, I came across this place. The reviews are 100% accurate. It is super cozy & homelike upon arriving. I like how small it is as it makes it a more intimate setting. There was parking right by the door as well. There were so many options on the menu, that I didn’t even know what to pick. All sounded so good. I got the crawfish mac & cheese and it was perfectly creamy, cheesy , and delicious. As far as my meal, I got the blackened catfish, shrimp, and sweet potato risotto. The seafood was grilled to perfection along with their sauces making it more flavorful. I also love how it is freshly cooked to order. For the season & dessert, I got the pumpkin stuffed beignets. Sweet but no
Delicious! We came here for date night to try something a little different. We’ll be coming back! I got the mountain trout and risotto and it was phenomenal. My boyfriend got the salmon and loved it. Wish I had had room for beignets or alligator bites- definitely next time.
Flatlands Bourbon and Bayou: Southern Comfort Meets Louisiana Soul If you’re craving that deep, soulful Southern flavor with a touch of Louisiana charm, Flatlands Bourbon and Bayou is the spot. From the moment we sat down, the vibe was warm, the cocktails were flowing, and the food? Unforgettable. Let’s start with the star of the night, the catfish nuggets. Crispy, tender, and paired with the most delicious BBQ hot sauce we’ve ever tasted. Shonda was this close to asking for a bottle to take home. (Flatlands, please sell it by the jar, you’ve got something special there!) Then came the fried goat cheese drizzled with honey: sweet, tangy, and downright addictive. If heaven had an appetizer menu, this would be on it. For entrées, he went for the Catfish Pontchartrain with dirty rice. The
