Flat Rock Country Store

We stopped here in our way to Raleigh in our RV camper based on the reviews..:and it did not disappoint! Food was great and people were friendly and welcoming.

Passing through the area between photo-shoots, and came upon this gem. Initially we went inside to stock up on snacks, but discovered the kitchen and cute 'lil dining area in the back and we just had to stop and sit a spell! The cook, Madison, turned on the tv for us and we watched Gunsmoke while she prepared our food. And the food? Par excellence! We complimented Madison on her skills, but she wouldn't hear any of it. Well Madison, you DO bring it with your skill-sets and we will be back to try your steak! If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to give Flat Rock Country Store a try! Stopped in for lunch on a whim, saw southern cooking on their sign. I had a pulled pork sandwich and my wife had a catfish dinner, both were good, catfish was really good, I recommend it!

A Gem! Hot and fresh, homemade food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner --Unbelievably yummy fried fish, along with their sausage gravy and biscuits! For you truckers coming along route 40, can simply call ahead and pick up with their convenient, available parking. Well-managed and the kind of service that money can't buy -Superb!

Small place with big taste! They advertise comfort food and it’s definitely super good. I got the catfish platter off the owner’s recommendation and it’s honestly some of the best fish I’ve had. They we’ve super nice and polite and the food came fast and was delicious. It’s hard to find good small places like this and I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area.
