Flat River Inn

I don’t even know where to start. This place is a hazard to anyone who stays here. I’ve stayed in plenty of motels, but nothing even comes close to how absolutely disgusting, unsafe, and shady this place is. • Smoke detector taped to the wall and completely nonfunctional. If there were a fire, you would have zero warning. I have video proof of this. • The door doesn’t seal. You can literally see the light from inside shining out. Total security risk. • Shower is duct-taped to the wall and barely usable. • Toilet barely works. • No towels, no toilet paper. They literally provide nothing you actually need to survive. • Price scams. They charge wildly different rates, with no explanation, for the same service. I paid less previously for a longer stay, but now they charge more for fewer days.

They take homeless families but will discriminate and treat you poorly.. funny because it's practically there only income... new owners same treatment!!!.... one star for effort and money...

Staff is so friendly always smiling and helpful room quiet great place to stop in and check out it's not for everyone but they can make it feel like home !

So far, I've stayed here twice thus year. Once on New Years and another time yesterday, January 20th. The first time I stayed, it was enjoyable except a couple things that I've noticed. Room 26 (first time stay) didn't have hot water in the shower and some of the floorboards were not leveled to the rest of them. Also, the heater where the AC came from didn't work so it wasn't comfortable as far as that. It was noisy throughout the night, but that's not something the motel could control so that's not an issue, for the most part. Also, the room either smelled like cigarettes, or room smells. I would give that stay a 2.5 star out of 5. My stay this time was actually better by many reasons. The lady let me reserve a room early in the morning, rather than wait until later afternoon. Dirty, nasty, bed bug filled, owners no speaka English when convenient, sadly when the less fortunate are housed here, they are treated cruel. The owners have cameras and also look in your windows peeping ! Disgusting place to be, dont stay here
