Fito's Taco Shop

MK has literally no idea what they're talking about. This place is great, it's a taste of San Diego and "hole in the wall" shops like this offer the best Mexican food around. It's brightly colored, it's got perfect atmosphere with music or a TV blasting, there's some stock sitting out in the dining room floor, the service is rapid with fast food delivery- what more do you want? Absolutely 10/10 establishment, with food that slaps. Delicious beans and carne, soft and tasty tortillas, food cooked with pride. Will be returning here MANY times in the future!

Stopped by Fito’s in Vail, AZ and ordered the carne asada — no guacamole, add cheese, and keep the pico — and it was absolutely on point. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. Adding cheese took it to another level, and the fresh pico gave it that perfect balance and freshness without overpowering the meat. Even without the guac, it was still loaded and satisfying. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Fito’s continues to be one of the best spots in Vail when you’re craving legit, flavorful Mexican food. Highly recommend — especially if you like customizing your order!

The food here is excellent—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything we ordered was delicious. That said, the restaurant could really use an update, as the atmosphere doesn’t quite match the quality of the food. If you’re focused on great Mexican food, it’s definitely worth visiting.

We rode our bikes out to Vail to eat lunch at Fito’s Taco Shop from Tucson. The food looked good so we wanted to check it out. We had the Chicken Adobado Burrito. It was very good. Really good flavor, not salty or greasy, just really good tasting burrito.There red and green sauce on the table. I liked the red sauce, it had a little kick and the green sauce was milder and good. The indoor seating was clean and suitable for a taco shop and the staff were friendly and courteous. We would eat here again

Recently found myself in Vail at lunch time and picked Fito's Taco Shop to eat at. The building exterior is freshly painted in bright colors making the establishment impossible to miss. The grounds are unkept and noticable amounts of trash and junk are visible everywhere. My initial impression was of a severe lack of pride. Upon my entry l found the interior well worn and clearly showing it's dated age. I was immediately greeted and being a first time visitor l apparently was expected to immediately place an order Vs. reading and becoming somewhat informed on the menu choices. The cashier was visibly annoyed and wasn't exactly shy about expressing his feelings. Ordering proved problematic due to the volume of the radio playing on the kitchen, additionally the kitchen staff was rather vocal
