First Watch

Great food, friendly staff ! Will be visiting again. A nice change of pace for a breakfast location.

Looking for a new favorite brunch spot in the Chicago suburbs? I got you 😉 My partner and I were recently were invited to the soft opening of the brand new First watch in Orland Park Illinois and we loved it! We were greeted with a warm welcome by the manager Tye who was very kind and inviting. We went to our table and started looking at the menus and loved the variety they offered especially for the first day! I got the Mint Mocha Iced Coffee which was absolutely delicious, super creamy and sweet but not too sweet. He got their Morning Meditation Juice drink with Lemon, Orange, Tumeric, Ginger and Agave Nectar.. it was literally like sunshine in a glass, very bright and fresh! We were greeted by staff upon walking in and seated right away. Brianna was our server and was super patient, attentive, and helpful with the menu. We ordered avocado toast, salmon eggs benedict, cheesy potatoes, biscuit and gravy, and bacon with a kale tonic, and purple haze drinks. Everything was made fresh and came out quickly. Drinks were delish. Everything was good. The menu provided lots of healthy items to choose from.

Never been to First Watch. So I decided to try it out. I ordered the Trifecta. Came with French toast, 3 slices of bacon and an egg. The French toast was good, thick slices, only thing some parts were not fully cooked. But I ate it all, cause it was tasty, it comes with some fruit flavored jam, the egg was okay. But the bacon tasted off. The coffee was great and so was the hot cocoa. I will most likely go back to try their omelet.

I’ve always been a fan of First Watch, but my recent visit to the Orland Park location left me with some mixed feelings. Having previously had a stellar experience at the Oak Brook location, I went in with high expectations. I’m not sure if the menu was different at the time or if I simply pivoted away from what I usually love, but this visit didn't quite hit the same mark. ​I opted for an omelet, and unfortunately, it just wasn't for me.
