Firehouse Subs 215 & Rice

We get FHS often and this time was the absolute worse. I ordered 3 large sandwiches 2 New York steamers and 1 meatball. The meatball no issues. The New York steamers a whole different story. The sandwiches had less meat, and sauce than they normally do. The meat didn’t even go to the ends of the sandwich. There was about 2 inches of naked bread on each side of the sandwich. I called the shore to complain and they gave me the same BS line that they do on all of the negative reviews on here. “Thank you for the feedback back, and we will look into this.” Well from the dates on the reviews they aren’t looking into it! Tables, floors, and seating are clearly maintained with care, and the open layout makes the space feel comfortable and welcoming rather than cramped. Overall, this Firehouse Subs location was very clean, organized, and welcoming. The restaurant itself looked well maintained, the food was fresh, and the service was quick and efficient. You can tell the team takes pride in keeping the space tidy, which I always appreciate. My only concern is regarding food prep hygiene. One employee working directly behind the food bar had loose hair hanging forward around her face and shoulders. Although she was wearing a headband, her hair didn’t appear fully secured or contained. In a food service environment, hair should be completely pulled back or covered to prevent any risk of shedding or contact with food.

Firehouse subs is always good! I love that they are supporting firefighters and emergency responders!
