FireHouse Bar & Grill

I stopped in on a whim and fortunately for me they had a lunch hamburger steak lunch special with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and gravy. The meat portion was hearty, nicely braised yet pink in the middle. The gravy was au jus style and flavorful rather than the gravy laden gunk you get elsewhere. To top it all off, they had Samuel Adams Octoberfest on tap,a perfect pairing. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive.

Sadly the food was less than what we had hoped for. My hubs and I ordered bacon cheese burger and I had the bacon cheeseburger Californian. Everything tasted as if it was just pulled from a freezer and tossed on the grill. My burger was way over done and very dry. Fries were just ok but they were tasteless. I make better fries at home. I understand that they took over from the previous owner and that the owner had very good burgers and fries. (Jiggers) Another minus but worth a mention is that right above the TV (we were in the main dining area) hoping to watch a game on TV. Different to do that because they have the can lighting pointed right at the view point. Shines directly in your eyes. I will say that the place is decorated nicely, it was clean and the help was very kind and friendly

I typically don't post reviews living in a small town, but we MISS Jiggers here's why the portions were generous and consistent everytime! with firehouse the burgers are over cooked and dry small portion of fries so, tried the Walleye basket and it wasn't great to say the least tasted burnt overcooked and the oil needed to be changed ,thought we would give it another try with company up from the cities we used to rave about the Ruben from Chris not this time very small amount of corned beef and the bread was soggy and no dressing on it. Disappointed

Firehouse has amazing food. Their burgers are the best. We love going there. Everybody that works there is super friendly. Kate runs a great bar.

First time customer, last time customer. Ordered a wrap with ranch mixed in. 30 mins later, the meal came out, and no ranch, barely any meat and the fries were burned to a crisp. My mixed drink had less than thimble of alcohol in it. On top of that all, the prices for what you get are ridiculous! Bring back Jiggers!!
