Fat Fellas BBQ and Grille

Bestie & I were hungry for some grub after working up an appetite from geocaching. We had high hopes but sadly, we were in for a let down. First, the hostess places our menus down, breakfast side up & even though the cutoff was 11, we arrived shortly thereafter so I had hopes that perhaps I could have breakfast vs lunch. I was promptly shut down by our server. I settled on fried clams that came with fries and butter beans. The butter beans had to have been straight out of a can as they had no seasoning or meat flavor. Even after I salted them, they were still flavorless. Our server was kind enough to remove them. The hush puppies and my bestie were the highlight of my lunch. Especially after hearing our server tell Bob's wife that she would see what kind of breakfast she could get the cook

Good BBQ on the Crystal Coast! My family and I have had numerous bbq meals here. I have also been to a few events where they have catered. Always a great meal. Great Team preparing and serving. Love the food and the colorful decor on the walls!

Fat Fellas has a pretty cool atmosphere and is filled with kind and considerate staff that show that southern genuinity. Food was a little too lukewarm for our liking but was still very solid, especially for the price. Check it out if you are driving by or in the area.

Fat Fellas BBQ is a delightful find for barbecue enthusiasts. The food is really good, with the BBQ ranking among the best North Carolina has to offer. A standout dish is the cheeseburger salad, a unique and tasty twist that sets them apart. The atmosphere is nostalgic, transporting you to a bygone era with its charming decor. The combination of excellent food and a warm, inviting environment makes Fat Fellas BBQ a must-visit spot.

Walking into this restaurant it is very relaxed, the staff are friendly, and actually pay attention to you. If you are looking for a fill’er up, just get the ‘I don’t know.’ It most certainly does NOT disappoint. The ribs were enormous! I almost couldn’t eat it all. The prices are fair in comparison. The atmosphere gives off a Route 66 feel.
