Fat Daddy's Hot Chicken & Waffles

I spent over $50 and couldn’t even eat the food. Everything was super greasy, and the chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil — it even seemed like it had been refried. Really disappointing experience and definitely not worth the money.

Reminds of a place you'd find on a two-lane highway in the south, just shows up out of nowhere. And with that name, you better stop & eat. When I saw the name in Google Maps my decision was made. Service was super. Just two folks working, a friendly woman taking orders and a guy making them. Just two tables, both high-tops, with two chairs each. A TV had a not-for-childrens-ears movie playing. No batheoom available. Bottled water & canned pop are your drink choices. Got a can of Faygo to go with my Extra hot 3 tenders & original waffle. The smell of the waffle oozing out of the container is intoxicating. Spicy pickle slices on top have a good kick. So does the chicken, and I like it spicy. This place is seemingly unsuspecting. You wouldn't look Twice at it yet the food they put out is pretty darn stellar. I came with my nephew and sister and we were all surprised at the prices vs the portion sizes! Being from Atlanta I was expecting smaller portions but they go big here! I got the Fat Daddy Sandwich and was so excited to eat it and almost burnt my tongue. The chicken was freshly fried and dressed to order. I dug into the delicious cheese fries while I waited for my sandwich to cool. Pairing it all with the fried pickles just competed the whole meal. Small area to dine in, mainly waiting space, but it was a slow evening and we decided to hang out. If im in the area i would definitely visit again.

First and last visit.. very disappointed.. SOOO GREASY!! Everything was fried well, in old grease.. Fat daddy sandwich thin like pork chop, tastes like grease.. collard greens are from the can.. fries cooked well.. half white chicken was 2 wings and 2 flat fried pieces of meat.. extremely dissatisfied.. papers and bread drenched in grease 😪

So disappointed. The chicken sandwiches and hush puppies tasted like they were fried in weeks old oil. There was no seasoning taste to the chicken because the old oil taste overwhelmed it. So many burnt crispy pieces on the chicken as well because it was definitely over fried. Mac and cheese had no flavor and was cold. We had been meaning to try this place for 3 years now and finally got around to trying it, but it was a let down.
