Far East Restaurant

Far East Restaurant delivers a comforting dim sum experience with flavors that make you forget you're not getting the classic aunty-with-the-cart treatment. The variety is delicious, especially the snow pea leaves, fresh, tender, and cooked with that perfect wok-hei. Most of the dim sum dishes hit the spot and feel thoughtfully made. The only miss was the roast pork bun, which didn’t quite match the quality of the rest. Still, the overall meal was satisfying and worth the visit, especially if you’re craving a solid dim sum fix without the weekend cart chaos.

We had our 100-person wedding reception on the 2nd floor in August and it was amazing. We'd eaten here several times, so we knew the food would be great, but the amount of food was phenomenal. Pricilla, Justin, the waitstaff, and the owner were all beyond kind and accommodating with our drink selection, event setup, random questions, etc. and they've remembered us each time we've come in for dinner/dim sum since then. We're customers for life!

Got the chicken and broccoli, chicken lo mein, and Mongolian beef. Prices lean more towards the pricey end ($23+), but they give you quite a bit of food. There was option for dim sum, but it didn't appeal to me at the time. They provided hot tea with the meal, which I appreciated. The food can be slightly greasy, but tasted good. The lo mein had an interesting aroma to it, but maybe next time it won't have that. It reminded me of a hot burned stove, haha. The Mongolian beef was good, but the quality of the meat could be slightly better though felt better than most.

Stopped by Far East Restaurant for dim sum recently and was so happy to see dine-in seating fully back again after COVID — it really brings back the classic dim sum experience. We arrived right when they opened around 11 AM on a weekend and were seated immediately since it wasn’t too busy yet. One thing to note is that the entire party needs to be present before being seated, which they enforce, but it helps keep things moving smoothly once you’re inside. The service felt traditional and efficient, with attentive push carts circulating constantly, making it easy to see what’s fresh and grab dishes as they come by. The staff were also accommodating with a baby seat, which made the visit comfortable for families. The steamed cart is always my favorite, and Far East does it well. Standouts

Excellent reasonable lunch menu! Busy times are loud. The Dim sum selection is huge! Service could be better, wrong dish was served. Had to ask for tea and water twice. Still only served half way through the meal. Chop sticks were rudely taken away (we are not Chinese) when we were seated. We had to ask for them when the meal came.
