Fancy's Cafe

Really good food. Seasoned really well. My dad had the chicken fried steak which was enormous with fried okra and mashed potatoes. I had the hamburger steak with grilled onions, gravy, salad bar and mashed potatoes. My daughter had popcorn shrimp and fried okra. All fresh and hot. Service was friendly and fast. For 3 of us it was $41. Which is a great price for all the food we got. We all got iced tea which was fresh and tasty. Our first time here. We will be coming back.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat while passing thru. I will say Fancy's didn't let me down (lol). Ordered the salad bar and the country fried steak. Salad bar had your normal with some extras, olives green and black, banana peppers, mushrooms and pickled okra. Definitely worth the quick stop. The cou try fried steak was country and fried!

Very quiet and easy to relax in. The server was very kind, but hardly around much or waited behind the counter. Took a small while to order our food. But no bad complaints. She was super sweet and kind. I ordered the special of the day which was the ribeye with shrimp. The coleslaw was amazing.

All food served at the perfect temperature. We started out with onion rings and boudin balls. The batter on both was light and golden brown, served directly from the fryer. I had the Cowboy burger and hubby had the chicken fried steak. Again, entrees were piping hot. We both had the fresh made mac & cheese. Other than needing a bit of salt, both meals were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chicken fried steak was so large, we could have split it and had some left over. Our server was pleasant and attentive.

Stopped by for lunch while traveling through the area in October this year. Great food and we enjoyed chatting with the locals, especially the gentleman with the wolf dogs. Will be back next time we are in the area!!!
