Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que

We shared a 3 meat platter consisting burnt ends, catfish and brisket. It was all fine although the burnt ends were not really burnt ends. The Mac n cheese was good and the beans were fine. All in all, it was good. But we've had better at the likes of Sonny's and even Chili.

I have had Famous Dave’s years ago and liked it, but this time was a total miss. I was in Yuma for business and decided to try Dave’s again. It was a slow night and I was seated right away. The server was polite and took my order quickly. I decided to try the burnt ends brisket with Mac & cheese, and garlic mashed potatoes as my sides. I’m sad to say nothing on that plate was good except the corn bread. The M&C was dry and lacked flavor. The potatoes were cold and not very good. The burnt ends were….inedible. It was all hard grisly chewy fat pieces. I know brisket should have fat on it, but this was not melt in your mouth fat…it was hard to chew nasty fat. We had such a great experience here and a big part of that was our server Kevin. From the moment we sat down he was friendly, welcoming, and super attentive. You can really tell he cares about making sure his guests have a great experience.

We came in as a big family of 10, and our waitress, Isabella, handled everything with such grace and professionalism. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and organized making sure every single one of us was taken care of. From keeping drink orders straight to making great food recommendations and checking in often, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
