Falafel Oasis

We recently visited Falafel Oasis, a cozy Mediterranean spot in downtown Louisville specializing in authentic Middle Eastern and halal cuisine. We ordered two Mix Grilled Platters, and they were outstanding! The platters arrived loaded with perfectly grilled meats—tender chicken shawarma, juicy beef tikka, and flavorful ground beef kabob—served alongside fluffy seasoned rice, fresh salad, warm pita bread, and creamy hummus with tahini sauce. Everything was exceptionally well-prepared: the meats were succulent, charred just right for that smoky edge, and bursting with bold spices that screamed authenticity. I got the lamb platter $18.99 and all of the food was incredible. Lamb, rice, salad, pita and hummus. Absolutely the best flavor and portions. I would eat this everyday if I could. Whenever I come back to Louisville, I will Deff be stopping here again. The inside of the restaurant is just tables and pictures on the walls. Nothing exciting. The food speaks for itself.

I loved this place! It was so reasonably priced and delicious to book. For $8, I was able to enjoy the BEST lamb gyro I've ever had along with a small order of French fries (that I had not been anticipating even coming with the gyro, so that was a beautiful surprise). It's also very cozy inside, and they have fun music playing along with a kind and knowledgeable staff. I am absolutely going to be a repeat customer!

The fish was the best bite of the night. Everything else was wrong with our visit. Service was worse than non-existent. The fish was really good, priced quite reasonably and still incapable of enticing me to ever visit again. Seriously, this is a place to avoid.

10/10 pricing and food. Always seasoned to perfection. Will always come back here. It’s a hole in the wall kinda vibe. Service is 50/50 depending on who’s working, but they will always have your good done in 15 minutes or less and the quality shows its self.
