Ethyl's Smokehouse & Saloon

Finally tried Ethyl’s and loved the cozy midwestern feel with the automotive theme. We enjoyed the salad with grilled chicken, artichoke Asiago dip, smoked catfish, combo bbq meat platter, and warm apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Hearty portions so you’ll definitely have leftovers! My only critique is that the salad should’ve had spring mixed greens instead of iceberg lettuce but not a huge deal given everything else was wonderful.

Ethyls has gone downhill for the past 5 or so years. I just got my favorite sandwich for takeout and it looks ridiculously sad. A prime rib sandwich. Look at this poor excuse for a $15 sandwich

This was a fantastic opportunity for an excellent dinner and entertainment for our large group. We were in from out of town and picked this on a Google search. Some old time memorabilia was fun, pool tables, video games, san volleyball, a separate bar area, plenty of tables, so much to see and do. Our group played pool and use the sand volleyball courts. Just way cool. Everyone loved what they ordered. Large servings and priced right. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with onion rings. We ordered a basket of chips to share and they had to be the best I have ever had in my 60 plus years of life. Not kidding. We were there with our group of teenage softball players. I could say that we could have easily missed this as we found it. So glad we found it it was excellent. If I'm ever in the area

Meet some friends for lunch. Unfortunately, I had to leave before eating but the menu looked awesome. Also good I saw delivered to other tables looked great. Cool atmosphere with several TV's, full bar, plenty of seating, and friendly staff. Can't wait to go back when I can stay and eat.

Stopped in on our way from Ky to Fort Scott KS. Food was great, nice variety menu even for the kids. Th bbq, smoked catfish, and potato salad were our favorites. They were a full house but service was still prompt on a busy Friday night. Decor super neat, clean place. Nicely priced. Would definitely stop again.
