Esther's Restaurant

Typical greasy spoon diner. The owner has not put fifty bucks into this place since the Roosevelt Administration. Service is good...food is OK. However, when sitting at the counter sometimes the waitresses eat at the counter across from customers and talk about their personal lives to other waitresses. Fredericksburg needs a brand new state-of-the-art diner.

This was my first visit to Esther’s. They have a nice clean restaurant with friendly staff. Lots of menu choices and affordable prices. I had the ham steak with a side of mashed potatoes and buttered corn with strawberry ice cream for desert. Everything was delicious! I would recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

I stopped in for breakfast, as I was told food was very good. Had steak and eggs with home fries, and it was delicious. Have to give Ms. Sam a Five Star rating because my steak was cooked to perfection. It was tender and juicy, absolutely delicious. So if you’re ever in the area and want a wonderfully prepared meal, with warm and welcoming people, can’t recommend Esther’s enough. You will not go away disappointed. Five Stars Top Notch

On way home from Chocolate World and searched for dinner. Reviews brought us here. Have a great waitress Chelsea. Prices, food, and service was awesome. Thanksgiving dinner, Cowboy melt and chicken cordon blue melts were ordered. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stopped at Esther's on the way to an event. She had the "dippy eggs" (sunny-side up eggs) and I had their gigantic pancakes. The waitress was very friendly and she warned me that they pancakes would be extremely big compared to those from a typical diner. They were indeed very large and I was so hungry that I didn't leave even a crumb, they were so good. The Diner has a very hometyle country feel and we will definitely be back!
