Espinal Grocery & Deli

I pass here all the time and the decor caught my eye from the street. I always see a lot of traffic in and out of the parking lot so I decided to give it a try. While they don’t have a ton of warm food to choose from, what they do have is really good! The inside dining area is beautiful. For 2 meals & 2 drinks it was only $21!

Being Dominican and from New York, I honestly didn’t think I’d find great, authentic Dominican food in Connecticut—but we FOUND IT! We ordered catered food and not only did we love it, but our guests were raving about it as well. The flavor, the freshness, everything was on point. We’ll definitely be going back! 🇩🇴

The Minority Recruitment and Mentoring Committee (MRMC)​ at Western Connecticut State University hosted a Professional film discussion, "In the Heights." We were delighted to have Dominican food, and everyone was so excited that it was so delicious. They especially loved the empanadas and the chicken pastelón. There was more than enough food, and everyone was able to take some food home.

Incredible food and a very nice atmosphere. The selection is vast and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely would come back again.

Food is great, the service not so much. I walked in to get a drink for my child and I. I waited 10 minutes give or take and no one acknowledged my presence. One gentleman, who needs training in customer service - as this is not the first incident with him involved, rang up the customers whose food he served and didn’t acknowledge my presence whatsoever. I took the items and returned them, as I turned around the same worker said something to his customer about me and they both began to laugh. I had to fight myself not to say something to him because as I said, it wasn’t the first time his customer service was damn near inexistent. If he can sit there and talk junk about me with his customer he could’ve very well said that he would be right me instead of ignoring me altogether. But I guess i
