Esperanza Chicken

I typically wait til I’m finished eating to write a review. This time I couldn’t help myself. The staff are very friendly and suggested the options which suited me. There is plenty of seating throughout the establishment and you can dine in or take out. The quarter chicken I got with cabbage and rice and beans was great! Will certainly return. Thankful that I didn’t do my lunch usual and came here.

I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich with just lettuce, tomato and mayo. I even repeated the order since the lady seemed to not have understood correctly the first time. Apparently she never understood cause when I got home and gave it to my husband, the sandwich had everything in it, onions, green and red peppers after repeating the order twice. His stomach turned. Got me upset. Not the first time this happened. I went there hoping it had gotten better. It didn’t.

CACA. Just straight-up trash 🤢. Whoever made these so-called pupusas needs glasses, taste buds, and maybe a whole new job because this right here is a crime against Salvadorian food. Tell me why my pupusas look like dry, cracked-up pancakes that got left in the desert for a week. I’ve seen tortillas with more life than these. My cabbage looked like the grass clippings my dad leaves on the lawn after mowing 💀. The cheese was barely there, the masa was dry, and the whole thing tasted like regret. As a Salvadorian, I’m personally offended. This is not just bad food — this is a national embarrassment. My little brother, who burns cereal, could make better pupusas than this 🫩. The food is really good. The only thing is your looking at the menu either in store or on a printed one the prices aren’t correct so you’ll expecting to pay one price and it’s completely different when you go to pay. The cashier won’t be helpful because they’re just pushing the button.

The food was very good. I ordered the family meal 2 whole chicken 5 sides! Delicious meal.
