Emporia Public Library

Many resources, good selection of books, helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere! We love spending time here. Their summer activities and kits are WONDERFUL. We recently went to the Wichita Art museum with a family pass from the library!

Egad, friendly helpful staff at the front desk. Some libraries have embittered, protective-to-a-fault, over-educated misanthropes "greeting" you. These two were honest about what they didn't know. Had a delightful mien and sense of humor. First time this sweaty and weary traveler felt welcome in a public library. Enjoyed the Kansas Room.

They are very good with little children, my Grandsons and Son (with special needs) absolutely love going there to check out books. Not to mention they are very helpful with things I have needed done or questions I've had. Great place to go!

This place has a wonderful atmosphere with kind and helpful staff. There is plenty of places to sit, access to computers and printing, and plenty of outlets so you can bring your own computer/tablet/phone and charge it while you work/study. There are also many flyers for book clubs, events, and programs. I've been going here since I was a child and it's always been a comforting place.

My family loves the library. My children have grown up in the library and going to the library programs (summer concerts, reading contests, reading groups, Lego building, Lazer tag, etc.). The staff are amazing. They are very knowledgeable in books, authors, and genres. They are able to provide suggestions for what to read next.
