Ema Datshi on Wheels

Got the combo datshi (beef and pork) for lunch (on special for $10 at time of this review). Very tasty, this was my second time trying Bhutanese food (the first time was at Zhego), highly recommend trying. Despite the cuisine's reputation the food here could be a bit spicier for my taste (similarly to Zhego), but there were a generous amount of green chilis here which I appreciated. Very generous portion of red rice. Food truck owners were pleasant and friendly, and the wait time wasn't very long. Photo is not completely representative of presentation as some of the food shifted on the way back to the office.

My sister and I had huge expectations because back in 2019 we travelled to bhutan and ema datshi was our daily food. We loved it back in bhutan. We ordered just the ema datshi and rice and had to wait 35 mins just for that. There was literally no one else other than just 2 people ordering a drink and rice as well. The rice is average and the chilis were dry. Im guessing they had some trouble making it so i will try some other time.

I enjoyed my mushroom dish. I chose this food truck bc it was close to the Q70 to the airport. The meal was prepared quickly and I could see in the cart that it was prepared with care and fresh ingredients. It was hot (temp) and tasty and a good portion size for me. The people were so friendly and pleasant.
