Ellicottville Memorial Library

Really beautiful library with a living room style sit down area by a fireplace, a game room, kid's area, etc. Friendly staff. Looks like a ski lodge. Bright, warm atmosphere. Stopped to make copies (20-30 cents/each) there & staff was very helpful.

I love how there were a bunch of kiddos who were being invested in! Just before the children arrived, a librarian came by to warn me that it was gonna get loud for awhile. Once they were gone, however, it was quiet again. Would definitely like to visit again!

Very nice local library with helpful staff, nice kids area, lots of digital media, chess, checkers, internet terminals and good stock of reading material and books. Not many magazines, and no newspapers that I noticed. Grandkids loved it.

This library is wonderful!! I appreciate that the librarian and staff are always friendly and inviting, and strict about keeping the noise level to a minimum. The atmosphere is perfect for the Ellicottville charm and there's very comfortable oversized furniture around the fireplace for lounging, as well as plenty of table room and private rooms depending on the type of work space needed. The children's area is a nook filled with a multitude of good reading options for kids and oversized stuffed animals and beanbags to lounge for the afternoon. The smell of cedar and antler chandeliers make the ambiance! They often hold book sales in the room across the entryway as well. : )

Very nice library. Needs to be open later. Everytime I come here the parking lot of full and people are using their local library for resources at this time. Please consider staying open later.
