Elephant and The Dove

Every year we head out to the Dickens Festival in Skaneatlus NY. It was our first time dining at Elephant and the Dove and it won't be our last in fact it will be our number one restaurant next year. The ELEPHANT and Dove was extremely busy since it was the weekend of the festival. My husband and I were impressed how quickly we were seated and no wait time! Thank you to our hostess who not onlygave us one of the last tables available but the best. We sat upstairs and could see part of the downtown area outside of the window. It was perfect.( Im sorry I didnt get the hostess name.) The restaurant couldn't be more tastefully decorated and I enjoyed the atrium as well as the art hanging on the walls. Table and chairs were comfortable plenty of room on the table for food and spaced adequately.

The elephant and the dove is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely amazing and there are very allergy friendly! I have a gluten and dairy allergy and they accommodate everything without a problem. They even have a dedicated gluten free fryer! Our usual server Krislyn is the best. She is a very genuine and knowledgeable person. We love having her as a server. She remembers the details of my allergies and our usual orders. She goes out of the way to make your experience even better! I highly highly suggest coming here!!

Elephant and the Dove is hands-down one of the best spots in Skaneateles, stunning atmosphere, incredible modern Mexican flavors, and service that makes you feel right at home. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with that vibrant, whimsical, welcoming, and perfect for a night out or lunch. But what truly elevated our meal was Freddie, the bartender. Freddie is an absolute gem! His energy, knowledge, and genuine warmth made the whole experience unforgettable. He took the time to chat with us, and made spot-on recommendations that were phenomenal from start to finish. I started with the Mexican Razor Blade on his suggestion, tequila, cucumber, lime, and just the right touch of sweetness, and it was out of this world. Our server Freddie was the BEST! Very friendly and knowledgeable! The butternut squash soup was the best I’ve ever had and the jalapeño margaritas too! The blackened fish tacos were fabulous! Thanks, Freddie! We will def be back!

Mikayla was fantastic! So friendly and gave excellent recommendations. The Spinach Empanadas and Beef Birria Tacos are new favorites ☺️
