El Tucan Mexicano

Definitely worth the visit El Tucan Mexicano was an awesome experience. The staff was welcoming, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was extremely good with very reasonable prices. I ordered the Tres Amigos, Churros, with a Coke and it did not disappoint. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. I would 100% come back again.

This is the worst experience I have ever had. I ordered the Tres Amigos and the entire plate was garbage. There is more fat than meat on the steak, the rice is reheated its not even Spanish rice, the shrimp were the extremely small salad shrimp. This is definitely not worth the money I paid for it at all. I am totally disgusted by the quality of food. On top of that. I was charged a surcharge without my knowledge at the register. Which is a deceitful business practice. There was no salad at all either. I advise anyone dont waste your money here. Its not worth it. Not to mention you will get charged extra without your knowledge. Mauricio will smile in your face while he over charges you for bland nasty food. Needless to say it ended up in the basura. We were starving and craving Mexican. I recalled seeing El Tucan on my commute and was pleasantly surprised by their service, beverages, and food. I think we found a new and closer frequent date night spot. We had the street corn, California burrito, and beef chimichanga paired with perfection margarita. All top notch with great presentation!

Thought we would give them a try. There was parking out front and over to the side. The restaurant size for the area/location was about right. (Not too big). The waiter was polite and friendly when taking our order. I ordered the "combination" dinner where you can select 2 or 3 different items listed on that section of the menu. The food was pretty good and the portions were just right (for me). In fact, I couldn't finish it all. The prices were about average for dining out now a days. We will go back again.

Food was delicious and now they sell liquor!! We got veggie quesadillas and lime margaritas. You can decide if you want top shelf or house. My only complaint is they could be a little stronger for the price but the waiter was very knowledgeable of the various liquors and answered all our questions. Come on over to Indian Head for this little 💎gem! We’ll definitely be back!
