I stopped by here to check out something local and fresh. It is so nice to have a family friendly sit down restaurant down this way finally. If you want local owned and operated small business, this is it. They are on a soft opening right now. The menu will have more items, and the hours will be extended soon. The wait staff was very nice. Very attentive and helpful. We had 3 meals all three were great. The pot roast was soft and juicy. The broccoli was the only thing we did not like. The color was not appealing, and the taste was mushy. The cezar salad was fresh and crisp. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and scrambled eggs were the same. The only reason I'm giving a 4 for atmosphere because it was extremely chilly inside Annie's during my visit on January 24th. I decided to check this place out on the recommendation from a friend. We were greeted warmly and directed to sit where we liked. I ordered the Apples pancakes, with scrapple and scrambled eggs with added cheddar cheese. Pancakes had a great flavor, fluffy, cooked perfectly with crispy edges (that seems to be a thing now). Scrapple was cooked just right as well as eggs. My companion had the shrimp and grits with a side of home friedpotatoes. Peppers and onions were added to the potatoes making them even more delicious. My husband and I traveled from South Carolina and saw a review of Annie’s and decided to try it. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Ordered the catfish, pork chops, greens, Mac & cheese for lunch and everything was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. Topped off our meal with warm peach cobbler a la mode and French vanilla coffee… so scrumptious! Coming back tomorrow for breakfast!

Love southern food so decided to give it a try for lunch. Only one table eating when I went in and only one other showed up by time I left. There plenty tables and boothes and there was a TV in one corner. Ordered fried fish with mac and cheese, collard greens, and cornbread. The fish was a whole filet and tasted great. The mac and cheese was very cheesy. Collard greens didn't have taste to them and didn't seem cooked long enough to get tender yet. The cornbread was a very good piece. Other than the greens everything was great. Want to come back to try the breakfast here. Hopefully they switch to turnip greens instead and it would be perfect. Would definitely be back.

The Mini Cinnamon Rolls paired well with our coffee to start. Chicken and Waffles with Fried Egg w/ Cheese, YES PLEASE!!! This is enough food for two meals. The wings were the best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. Scrapple was cooked to perfection. We’ll be coming back!
