El Tequila

Ok. Well.... ambiance is totally tourist mexicana, and LOUD. Wait staff is attentive enough. Food was AWEFUL. I mean like not even TacoBell worthy. I got a plate with a grilled browned tortilla with pepperjack cheese inside, a burrito with canned beans inside, a tamale with pepper jack cheese inside. Canned red sauce poured on top. Popped into a microwave. No garnish, no nothing. I had an upset stomach, both ends, for 2 days! The other meals, although different orders were the same, see pic. Dumpy parking lot, no handicapped parking. Messy inside, trash on floor, dirty looking kitchen. This was hugely disappointing because @ El Jefe's, sister business, the food is great! $20bucks bye bye, Wow. I lived in Albuquerque for 13yrs, raised in Austin /San Antonio, Texas. NOT remotely authentic. W

I was going to stop for lunch today, only to be greeted by the sight of a real disgusting mess at the back door... Empty boxes, litter, etc, lying everywhere. If this is the "first impression" at the back door, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Yuck. I ate lunch elsewhere.

The food was delicious, my Mexican soda was GREAT, and service was very fast right when I walked in a few seconds go by and they take my to my table we were given about 5 mins to look through menu and we were asked what we wanted after said we waited less then 10 mins and got our food hot and good!!

I love El Tequila's, every booth, table, and chair are a piece of art. Its absolutely beautiful inside. The staff are always very friendly, I unfailingly have a delightful experience everytime I eat here. The food is very delicious with prices that never disappoint. My partner and I spend around $30-$40. The food here is real authentic Mexican food. Overall I 100% recommend eating here at least a few times!

Very helpful & fast service. I waited a bit for a friend and they came to check on me multiple times. Food order was prompt. The place filled up with customers a couple times while there and they were still great with service. Love a place that can handle busy rushes and still have great service and great food!
