El Tequila Mexican

Great food and mixed/slow service. We came in and the two people at the hostess station we're talking and after about 10 seconds acknowledged us and seated us. Once at the table, we were promptly brought Salsa and chips, but then we waited at least 10 minutes before our waiter came to take drink or food orders. We had eaten all the chips and salsa and waited several more minutes and actually discussed getting up to just walk out because we are traveling a long distance and chose Mexican because it is usually pretty quick. We were worried if the whole meal was this slow it would take longer than what we needed to be on time. We had not ordered anything at this point or seen our waiter. Went here on a whim, and happy we did! Food was amazing, service was great, and and beautifully decorated carved & painted chairs & booths! We had a bit of trouble understanding our waiter, but he had the bar tender come explain something for us. We're glad we went here!

Came here for dinner, after a recommendation and I can say it was a great experience. Although this place was busy when we walked in, the service was timely, the wait for the food was a bit much but the drinks and chips were a delicious start. When the food came out, it was big portions, flavorful and delicious. They had music playing which was not too loud. They apparently have a bar upstairs which i didn’t see. There’s plenty of parking spaces in the back, make sure to turn at the light because the street is busy and a painful experience.

Food was amazing but appetizer came out with dinner. Wait staff made us feel rushed. I was only a third of the way through my main course when the waitress bright or check and asked if we wanted boxes. They weren't busy and it wasn't close to closing time. I told her I was still eating and asked for a glass of water. It took a while for the water to come. Other than that it was great. Everything tasted great!

Finally stopped in after this place had been open for a year or so (?). I really didn't expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. They have added nice visual elements to the place, and the food I had was pretty great. They brought warm, fresh chips and a nice homemade salsa to the table. I ordered the Patron Margarita, which was very nicely made and had balanced flavors. For food I ordered one of my favorite dishes when I can find it - the birria tacos. Have to admit, they were outstanding! Better than some I've had in Mexico. This was a nice find in Saco! I'll be back.
