El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant

Mediocre at best. Fajitas are chicken strips not nice juicy meaty pieces. Tiny portion of guacamole served with the side plate of rice, beans, pico etc. the salsa was terrible, no veggies, all sauce. I remember it being better here.

It had been about a year since our last visit to El Tapatio, and stepping back in felt like coming home. Isauro, the owner, recognized us right away and came over to warmly shake our hands — such a genuine, personal touch that you don’t find everywhere. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and friendly, the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable. I enjoyed a wonderful margarita and some traditional Mexican food. We’re so glad we stopped in — it won’t be another year before we’re back!

This was the first time I visited this restaurant and I would definitely return. It is big, just like the portions they serve. And they fill up. I got a trio of enchiladas, accompanied by rice and beans. Everything was delicious except the the beans were a little too soupy. The chips were good, but the salsa was just ok. I managed to eat it anyway! The plates are enormous and very full and they have an extensive menu. It is easy to find and the parking is plentiful.

Server was really nice at the beginning until he tried to charge me for a drink my girlfriend knocked over that she barely drank. Lied about it being empty. He acted really sweet like he was going to get another drink for her but then charged her?!!! He spoke very condescendingly to her when she spoke up. Other than that the food was mediocre at best. Place is perfect if your in a pinch and need somewhere to eat. Food came out relatively quickly. Edit - WHO THE HECK CHARGES YOU FOR A DRINK YOU SPILLED?!?!?!

Good experiences. Have been here twice and will return. Staff is hardworking and pleasant. Margaritas improved on our 2nd visit. Large selection on the menu. Food is OK, warm chips and salsa were placed immediately as we sat down at bar. Local crowd was mixed, very social. Saturday night was packed. Easy parking. We will continue to go back and try the menu but sometimes it's nice to go support a local place with a good vibe and friendly people.
