El Tapatio

Food and service were excellent. Food was delicious and portion size was very to large. Our server was prompt and took very good care of us. Atmosphere is dark and dated, but didn't really distract or negatively impact my positive experience. Overall, I definitely recommend El Tapatio. You will get a great meal with excellent value.

We have several Mexican food options in the area, but I like El Tapatios menu best. My dish was steak, chicken, rice, beans, and sautéed onions; it was very flavorful, filling, and delicious! She gotca chicken salad taco bowl. Our friends got the meal for two that I described as a "Mexican Pu Pu platter" because it had a bit of everything, which they loved and still took some home. It was on Special on a Tuesday night; a great deal! Our server was friendly and on top of things. Good job!

Second time in a row this place has been GREAT. It’s been here forever but the location sometimes makes you forget about it. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Empanadas and accompanying sauces were excellent. Order some of their homemade matcha/salsa when you ask for hot sauce!! Better than its rating by a lot - eat here today!

We had a great dinner here last Friday. Service was quick and friendly and we got a table outside. Their jalapeño poppers were lightly fried and crispy, some of the best I've ever had. I also had their Ixtapa Fajita which had shrimp, scallops, chicken, and pineapple chunk filling served in half a pineapple--it was delicious and different from your typical fajita filling--really great. The cocktail selection and preparation were also very good. We'll be back!

This is my favorite Mexican in the area. The Birria Tacos I had tonight were amazing. I also love the shrimp quesadilla. My kids (2 and 4) also love the kids meal - grilled chicken with rice or fries. One of the few times they actually eat the food we order them. If you go ask for Christina she is literally the best / kindest waitress around! Pictures are the Birria and kids meal.
