El Taco

Food nasty 🤮 I knew when I saw the 3 microwave ovens right in front it was Going to be a disaster. This is not authentic anything everything taste like it came from the local thrift store, stale chips, burrito, gross, macaroni, and cheese was Something else like who knows what And Please the beans with something like mashed wet paper the rice with something else also like dog food🤔But I must say The Service was amazing.

So we haven't eaten at Mexican Villa in over a decade.. we decided to give El Taco a try over Taco Bell. I wish we would have chosen Taco Bell. Monday is half off queso cheese dip. Which would be good if the temperature in the room was over 70°. I ordered carne Asada street tacos. I got ground beef. When I asked about the tacos I ordered i was told it would be another 15 minutes past the 15 we had already waisted. There was no paper towels in either men or women's bathrooms. Will not go back..

Mexican Villa's El Taco is a great throwback to the days when you cruised up and down Kearney Street in your hot rod. The food is great, and the signs around the dining room remind you of times long ago. This location is small but is always busy. I'm glad the north side has them.

Quick friendly service. Food is great. Cost is decent. I eat here several times a month.

The history and atmosphere adds to the experience. Taco Salad was really nice. Usually you get 90% lettuce with just a seasoning of meat and cheese. Not at this place! Good balance of ingredients. Update: Visited again. This time there was just a sprinkling of meat on the bed of lettuce. Obviously the portion control depends on the employee who happens to be working. They need to use a measure for consistency. Now I'm not sure if the first great one is the normal, or the second one! I'll guess I'll try it again the next time I'm in Missouri. Downgrading from five to three until I try again ;) Update to the Update: Happy to report that my third visit was like the first. upgrading to my original rating of five stars and including a picture.
