El Sombrero Restaurant Tex Mex Bar & Grill

I had another great experience at El Sombrero Restaurant Tex Mex Bar & Grill, and this visit really confirmed how good the food is. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and whenever I needed something, they were there right away. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. This time I tried several vegetarian options, including the enchilada, chimichanga, quesadilla, and burrito, and everything was amazing. Each dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. The chimichanga was perfectly cooked and incredibly satisfying, the quesadilla was cheesy and fresh, and the enchilada and burrito were just as delicious. ordered two salmon taco plates (which came with three tacos each, so six total) and a 12-piece chipotle wings combo with fries. Unfortunately, the experience was pretty disappointing overall. The salmon tacos tasted okay flavor-wise, but they were very dry. They really needed more sauce or some kind of slaw to balance them out. They weren’t terrible, just underwhelming and not something I’d order again. The bigger issue was the wings and fries. The chipotle wings were soggy instead of crispy, which made them feel heavy and unappetizing. The fries were also oily and soggy, almost like they had been sitting out for a while. The food was so good. We had the platter with the sampler. Everything was well seasoned, juicy, soft and tasty. The owner came over to introduce himself and even provided recommendations. The sampler was a lot for my family of 5 (1 toddler). I would definitely revisit if able.

This was a fantastic find! Our server, Amanda, was so nice and efficient. Our food was delicious and the owner, Luis, came by to welcome us. The empanadas reminded me of my moms and the burrito was glorious. Wonderful dining experience!!

Absolutely horrible!! Will never go back. Had to wait about 30 minutes just to get a glass of water! Our waitress finally took our order and we didn't see her again until it was time to get our check! One of the kitchen staff FINALLY brought out our food, which we have had much better Mexican in other Mexican restaurants. They use canola oil in their foods which made it very limited on what I could eat. Highly allergic to canola. Not a healthy oil by any means. So hence the bad rating.
