El Shaddai Chicken

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and our server was friendly and helpful. I had the rotisserie chicken and my wife had one of the seafood dishes. The servings were so plentiful that we both had leftovers. We will definitely be going back. Give this place a try if you are in the Manteo area.

Loved the food and service here! The fried rice is incredible, as were the yucca fries and plantains. They had passion fruit water that was sweet and refreshing. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious meal.

Don’t let the plain look fool you - the food is so good here! My husband loves Peruvian chicken for it juicy flavor and these guys are authentic! He said the chicken was moist and well flavored, especially the skin. It came with sides that also tasted great - tostones and fried rice. They also offer a good selection for vegetarians. They have a lot of sides and I got their veggie rice Chaufa without eggs and beans and plantains. Their portion sizes are bigger than we expected so we had a lot of leftovers for another meal. All the food was very good and our server was helpful about their menu and friendly too! We highly recommend El Shaddai if you’re in the Manteo area!

Super amazing Pollada. Serving size was enough for two people. Delicious chips and salsa while you wait. This is a must visit! Better food and prices than alot of places in this area.

SIX STARS EXCEPTIONAL!! We drive an hour to come here frequently. It is our guilty pleasure place. The food is jam packed with authentic Peruvian flavors. They also offer a Mexican menu. At first sight, they look like a little hole in the wall tucked in a mini strip mall near the Piggly Wiggly supermarket in Manteo. But don’t let that fool you. It is worth the drive, no matter where you are located. The food melts in your mouth. It is a family run business. Our favorite dishes are the Tostones, the rotisserie chicken, and the steak a la Pobre. Make this part of your vacation stop …it is a locals’ favorite.
