El Rincóncito Cocina Mexicana

My visit to El Rinconcito in Dos Palos was a bit of a rollercoaster, but there is definitely a reason to stop by. The Main Event: The Asada Burrito was the clear winner of the meal. It was well-prepared, flavorful, and hit the spot. If you’re coming here for a classic, filling burrito, you won’t be disappointed. The Botana Mixta: I also tried the Botana Mixta, which was a bit of a mixed bag: • The Good: The shrimp ceviche was decent, and while I didn't try the shrimp cocktail personally, the rest of my party mentioned it was good. • The Critique: The fish ceviche was unfortunately a bit over-citrusy for my taste. • The Oysters: Based on a quick quality check at the table, I decided to pass on the oysters this time around. We don’t have many options here in town but this place is pretty good. The presentation is always appealing. So far the staff have always been polite and no mistakes on my order. The one thing they could work on our their drinks. Anytime I order a mixed beverage I never taste the alcohol. I ordered a mojito and it definitely wasn’t a mojito. It felt like I was just drinking an over priced squirt soda with a splash of wine. Other than that it’s a pretty good restaurant. I will continue to go back, I’ll just leave out the mixed drinks.

My Carne Asada plate was delicious. It came with typical rice and beans. However, they served it with cactus salsa and home made corn tortillas! Not very typical of most Mexican restaurants. I chugged my food down with a hibiscus water drink (was very watered down and too sweet for me). Looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes.

This has got to be one of my favorite Mexican restauraunts. I get a Chile Relleno sauce on the side,its great. Birria Tacos, Menudo . I was already planning on getting a molcajete next time. The Drinks???? Ooooooohweeeeeee

Delicious authentic Mexican food ! First time here and we all loved and enjoyed eating here ! Drinks are 100/100 ! Food as well! We got the Bistec Azteca with homemade tortillas de Maíz. And my friend mariscos and said they were very good.not sure what the dish is called. Oh and the flautas appetizer is my favorite. Recommend it ! Another restaurant added to my go to favorites for brunch.
