So let’s start my wife and I came for lunch . Grabbed a margarita flight and steak nachos as an an appetizer . The steak nachos were Were crunchy and gooey all at the same time . PERFECT RATIO . And to wash it down, the margarita flight was perfect For Four of The drinks were to die for ,featuring four robust tasty flavors. For lunch we orders pastor street tacos . The meat was crispy juicy full of flavor and the onions cilantro and lime were as fresh as could be . I ordered the grilled chicken with vegetables and when I tell you they got the recipe down …. They have got it down . Please don’t spend your money anywhere else .
El Rancho Grande offers a delightful dining experience with its high-quality food and top-notch service. The atmosphere is both clean and welcoming, creating a friendly environment for guests. The food truly stands out, with attention to detail and freshness evident in every dish. The guacamole, in particular, is a highlight, tasting authentically fresh and flavorful. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring that all your needs are met promptly. Whether you're there for a casual meal or a special occasion, El Rancho Grande provides a consistent and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious Mexican cuisine with excellent service!
This is now our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Troy! Their $5 margaritas are great, their meals are enough for 2 or more people, their chips and salsa are perfect (ask for a refill and take it to go if you don't finish), they have literally handmade tortillas, and the flavors are delicious. The interior is designed very well, good lighting, family friendly, lots of seating, friendly staff. The list goes on! My top recs: stuffed poblano, birria tacos, sopapilla, lime or strawberry margarita, pork michoacanas, fajitas, and the El rancho chicken melt rice dish.
The atmosphere was nice. The food and margaritas were pretty terrible, and the wait staff didn't know how to answer our questions. They got one of our items wrong. The food seemed like it was created by a child trying to copy a picture book of what Mexican food is supposed to be. The margarita was just sugar water. Salsa was not flavorful. Taco shells were prefab.
Amazing Mexican Guacamole!! I ordered #33 (Plato El Rancho Grande), and for the price, off the charts y’all. Alex (manager) was very friendly. Our server was so sweet, we didn’t need dessert (got some anyway).
