El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant

We stumbled onto El Ranchero while on a motorcycle trip through the area. It was obvious from the signage that a recent change in ownership must have occurred. (It may be listed as ‘El Dorado’ like we found in the Local restaurant menus at our accommodations.) It wasn’t busy & we were nervous that maybe that was a bad sign. We could not have been more wrong. The food was excellent; some of the best Mexican food we’ve had in a long time. Full of flavor, fresh, hot & good Tex Mex - but unlike the run of the mill Tex Mex food. The steak fajitas are superb with thinly- sliced meat perfect to load up in the tortilla & the grilled veggies were the seasoned & in the right proportion to the meat. I was driving past and starving so I decided to park my truck and walk over. Totally the perfect decision. I ordered the Acapulco faijas for 2 and was surprised that it really is enough for 2 people so I have left overs. They were full of flavor, the kitchen was super quick at getting it out, and service was excellent. I will totally be back again when in the area

Tamales were very good! Taco/cheese dip/salsa also enjoyed. Kiddo loved his rice. We did carry-out so I can't comment on atmosphere bit they were kind and quick. I would definitely go back.

Great service and delicious food made with care and authentic flavors. Owners are super helpful and nice. If your driving on I75, make the stop. It’s where the locals pick for Mexican food.

We enjoyed a great meal at El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant. It is right off the Interstate, so a very easy stop. They have a wonderful outdoor seating area. The host and server were very nice and our food was served quickly. They also served chips and salsa which we enjoyed. Prices were very reasonable. We would not hesitate to eat there again.
