El Portal Mexican Restaurant

We noticed there was a new Mexican restaurant in town a few days ago and knew we had to try it out! We showed up early around 4:30 so it wasn't too busy when we got there. Their menu is HUGE so it took us a little bit to all decide what we wanted. We ordered our food and it was at our table 5 minutes later! The chips and salsa were both very good, the kids had the first bowl of chips gone within minutes and they were very quick to refill it. Our food was excellent, everyone really enjoyed what they had! I can't remember our waitresses name, but she was fantastic, so nice and helped answer all of our questions! Our drinks were refilled even before they needed to be! We will definitely be back, it's nice to have some different food choices out here in the Waverly area!

This is a cute little Mexican restaurant! We were greeted kindly! Our server was very patient with us as we looked over the menu! Our food came out fast and hot! Perfect portions and very flavorful! We loved the chips! Very crispy and warm!!!

I recently visited this restaurant and was blown away by the delicious chicken quesadillas! The tortillas were perfectly crisp on the outside, and the chicken inside was juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The melted cheese tied everything together beautifully, and the portion size was generous. The dish came with refried beans, rice and pico that added a great touch. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend for anyone craving authentic and satisfying Mexican food!

Loved the all you can eat Taco Tuesdays. Margaritas were good too. Waitress was a lot of fun, didn't try to shoo us out. Salsa and chips were good as a starter.

We tried out the new restaurant on opening day - the staff were friendly, the food came fast, and everything was very tasty. We were very pleased and look forward to eating here again soon!
