El Pollo Loco

The food is good. However, the attention to basic details is being missed in a big way. Customers have to say their order twice or more and then get up to the window only to find the order is still wrong. Employees could benefit from some training on active listening. It would improve the customer experience and likely save them time by avoiding repeat work. Honestly, a basic order, especially when the restaurant isn’t busy, should not be this difficult. I will be back, but I hope some changes are made.

I asked for a salad and got a bowl…. This is no where near the order I placed…. Called the restaurant to see what they can do and no one answered. Wasted $13 for a meal I didn’t ask for. On top of that the coupon in the app didn’t even work. Beyond disappointing.

We love getting the family meal. It’s a great value and a delicious and healthy alternative to fried chicken. Also gotta get the queso blanco! The service at the Hurst location is always fast and friendly. We will be going back to try the new quesadillas!

If I could leave a -10, I would I used to love El Pollo Loco now I know why they close some of their stores in Texas. Hurst has the worst possible service and food quality probably out of all El Pollo Loco. My chicken was so dry it broke my tooth. I ordered a Chicken bowl, rice beans, and chicken Repeated it three times and I get home and there's only dry rice and chicken No beans my two piece meal. I've had bad there before but this chicken was so dry and the rice was so dry I could not even eat it if I was management or QC at this restaurant , I would have district there in a heartbeat. My first visit here was fantastic. While it's a simple fast food style set up, the food quality was far from traditional fast food. My bowl was absolutely solid. I will for sure be going back!
