I love how everything in the area are in these old gorgeous houses. You can eat inside or on the wrap around porch. The porch has a nice view and lots of space which we enjoyed. We ordered the chips with salsa and guacamole to start. The chips were absolutely scrumptious and the salsa had this great tangs and slightly sweet taste that we really loved due to the restaurant being Latin American. My husband and I both got the steak burrito bowls which was the perfect amount of food, especially after eating chips, and had a wonderful mix of flavors that made each bite delicious! The staff are attentive and kind. I also got the key lime pie to go for dessert and it was amazing. Tangy and creamy, yum!
We were on a little break from the norm and enjoying the area. El Mirador came highly recommended from multiple people, so we had to give it a shot. Let me tell you, we are SO glad we did! Parking was easy, as there is plenty of street parking right out front, or the lot in back. Seeing as it was a Thursday before 6, we found a street spot and were seated on the back patio with awesome views. Started off the meal with a tasty and simple house margarita, alongside a beef empanada and an order of the duck tacos. The empanada was amazing! Perfectly fried and stuffed with a delicious filling. The duck tacos were also fantastic with a great slaw on top and sesame glaze to add a bit of sweetness to the rich duck. Despite having decided on splitting the paella, i couldnt resist trying the frie
Absolutely top notch with regard to food, service, and atmosphere. We ordered the specials: shrimp tacos-big grilled shrimp that were perfectly cooked and came with warm, grilled tortillas and slaw with mango and a tasty bang bang sauce; grilled chicken with rice, beans, plantains and yellow rice-chicken was tender and spiced nicely and the black beans were very smooth and delicious; lobster bisque-creamy smooth with generous amounts of lobster claw meat. Everything was better than anticipated. We also ordered the guacamole which was very tasty. I will be coming back!
I wasn’t sure what to expect initially especially because we were traveling from a big city. However, when I tell you, you cannot miss this place while visiting, you cannot miss it. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great. The chef and owner greeted us which made us feel right at home. We got the shrimp tacos and a steak bowl, and just wow! I recommend this place. We’re considering coming back for every meal during our stay.
Had a wonderful dining experience with beautiful Mountain View’s outside on the patio! Was informed that the tortilla chips, margarita mix and a variety of dish ingredients are all made in house! Yummy and worth the stop if you’re passing through!
