The staff appeared friendly and polite, which prompted us to sit in the bar area. We began by ordering a sampler platter, which was quite good and flavorful. Before proceeding to the main course, we encountered some difficulties in communicating with the staff due to the loud music and chatter, which made it challenging for them to hear our requests for descriptions and suggestions. Upon further observation, we noticed that the music selection featured depressing lyrics, which seemed inappropriate for a family-friendly establishment. Ideally, the music should strike a balance between traditional genres and uplifting vibes, maintaining a respectful volume that provides a pleasant background for conversation while patrons await their meals. I got the tacos. Best part of the meal was the lime juice that I squeezed on the tacos I've gotten tacos from all kinds of places throughout Houston. This place is mid at best. I have Never eaten tacos that were this messy.They were sitting in a puddle of juices from the get-go couldn't even get through the third one before they fell to pieces and I had to eat it all with my fingers like a child The staff had no idea what verde sauce was or what green sauce was Had to get up to correct the order because they forgot something. Places like this really bum me out. I was excited to get some good tacos.But they're not even as good as most of the taco trucks that are on the side of gas stations. Maybe therere other food is better. Honestly disappointing.

My favorite thing here was the charro beans. Seasoned very well with bacon all throughout. They were delicious 😋. The rest of the food was not bad but lacked seasoning. I really liked the salsa, with bits of onion and Cilantro. I gave the lower score because of a lack of seasoning and service. The service was a little off. I counted 15 employees (assuming they were waitstaff) in the restaurant that I could see. Only two elderly gentlemen waited on everyone. Needless to say, this caused the service to be lacking in certain areas ( i.e., replenishing drinks and chips). With 15 people and only a few customers, we should have been shooing them away. The men that waited on us were good, just to much on them to be able to do a great service. All in all it was a nice meal.

I ORDER 2 moles , THE CHICKEN WAS PRECOOK THEY DONT WANT TO REFUND ME THE SAY THE MANAGER LEFT I CAME ALL OVER FROM PASADENA FOR THIS AND THEY DONT WANT TO REFUND ME MY MONEY I CAN GET SICK FROM THIS IS NOT EVEN COOK RIGHT !!!!!!!!!

El Jimador is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Friendly fast service and no matter how busy they seem there is always a table available and the food comes out perfectly prepared and very timely. El Jimador has become a regular once a week stop for some of the best food around. If you haven't checked them out yet you are definitely missing out. Thank you for all you do. They also make the best margaritas! Always a great place to go no matter the occasion!!
