El Giro Mexican Restaurant

Over the years we have eaten here often. It’s good food and we use to eat there in person but have now started doing carry out. I’ve always been a big believer in tipping at least 20% even for takeout if the service is good and it usually is here. My issue now is that they don’t give you a receipt with the breakdown of the cost, just a total. One day I did ask for receipt with a breakdown and that’s when I noticed that they put a 10% gratuity automatically without me being made aware of it. There’s no notification anywhere stating that. I was adding a 20% tip on top of the 10% without even knowing it. To me that’s not cool or ethical. I know the servers deserve tips and I’m all for it but it should be my decision not the management.

Rice and beans are excellent . Taco was not bad , but a little disappointing. The service was fast. They quickly corrected my order. I would like to go back to try other dishes.

I got the special dinner. It comes with all 4 plates you see for only $11. Just so happens that they also had $1 drafts on Wednesday with the purchase of a meal. The food was good and the service was awesome! I deducted a star because I wasn't a big fan of the cheese dip, it seemed a little watered down.

Jose is the goat! Always takes care of us! Great spot for a meal and a couple of drinks

Love this place I meet family and we have lunch. Very affordable and love their Chile Rellano and tacos.
