Jasper County Wing Shack

After driving past Jasper County Wing Shack for the past two years, I finally decided to stop in and give it a try — and I’m glad I did. I called in my order about 15 minutes ahead, and when I arrived, three other customers were just leaving with food in hand. I walked in, was greeted promptly, paid for my order, and was on my way. By the time I got home, the food was still warm. The wings were a solid size for the price, and the A-1 Philly cheesesteak was amazing — the bread especially stood out. Great portion for the cost, too. It’s not much to look at from the outside, but everything else checks out. I’ll definitely be back.

Ppl pay attention to your receipts.. ESPECIALLY if you're a call in order. This establishment is VERY dishonest and tried to cheat me of my money tonight. My chicken sandwich just the sandwich $6.99 my burger only $7.99... I was charged $21. And some change..went back to get everything squared away after my wife brought it to my attention what everything should be for the order I picked up for her.. i let the cashier know the issue she say oh the burger was a combo; (WHO TOLD HER TO CHANGE THE ORDER?) beats me but ok cool. I will just take it as a combo let me get my drink then? There's more to the story but anyway I get her to ring it up in front of me cause I don't trust them at this point... and what do ya know.. it came up to be 18.70 ???? They cook food and then when you order it then recook it again. You can tell from the fries and the chicken.

This place is in the edge of the hood with a laundromat next door. I called ahead and asked why I should eat there, and they said, because we are the best thing in Monticello. Sounded good to me when i was traveling through. I called while in Shady Dale and they had it ready when I got there. THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST WINGS I HAVE HAD SINCE PRE-COVID. NO JOKE. Onion Rings needed a light sprinkle of salt and would have been perfect. If you are a high society wannabe and think you have a discriminating palet, this is not for you. If you are a down-to-earth foodie with an appreciation for good stuff, slide by this place on your way through town. check my video out and the pics. I have been eating wings for 30 years. The staff was great. It was my 1st time stopping by here in all the years I have been visiting. The food hit the spot and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I love fried okra and haven't had any in many years. It was a nice welcome back to the South treat. My son devoured his wings. Oh and the southern sweet tea was so good.
