El Gallo Pinto Restaurant

The food was mediocre but the service was worse than the food. I came in and no one paid me any attention. I had to seat myself and go up to the front counter to ask for a menu. The waitress only came to the table to take my order and serve my food. I had to go to the front counter to ask for salsa and once again to get my check and pay for my food. It wasnt busy I was the only customer there. I asked for corn tortillas but they brought me flour tortillas, probably because im white they assume all white people eat flour. It seems like the spanish speaking customers were getting better service here. I ordered the Nicaraguan Steak. Have eaten there twice. Food was good but each time,we were way overcharged. Last time, we had 3 asada tacos, a side of rice & beans, 1 can dr pepper and our ticket was over $30.00!!!

Stopped by going through town for breakfast. It was a pleasant change. Food was good, large portions and the staff very friendly.

Best Latin American restaurant in town, the carne asada is the best.
