El Gallo Dorado restaurant

Food was decent , nothing to rave about. I thought the birria tacos were pretty small for 16.50$. Consume however was delicious, definitely needed as the birria by themselves were a bit dry & flavor lacking. Would not order again for the price point & size. Queso was also not the best I had that’s for sure. Burrito was quite large , but guac was forgotten sadly. Maybe an off night but worth a try if you haven’t yet!

I've been here before, also the Monroe location. Which I believe may be under a new name. I loved the Monroe location. I did eat here once before, and it was okay. Ordered take out tonight, and unfortunately, it was not too good. I did love that they surprised us with a little Valentines Day treat, which was super sweet. Even tho I did not enjoy my meal tonight, I will give them another shot in the future.

Some of the absolute best Latin cuisine in the area! Truly!!! They cook it with care and love and you can taste the difference. Fresh and flavorful ingredients, amazing spices, sauces and flavors. AND their prices are very reasonable to the delicious product. If you are the type of person that can't handle spice/heat, be mindful of how much sauce you add to your dish. They always give a spread of sauces with their meals and they are each amazing. Also, their staff is fantastic. Especially Elizabeth who is usually working the register during the week. She remembers me and my order and always makes me feel welcome and valued. Do yourself a favor, and try El Gallo!!!

my take out order were 2 burritos lengua and birria, paid over $38, both mostly hard rice, hardly any meat, no guacamole, but the worse was I found 2 nasty long hairs in my burrito, called them but they refuse to refund or a fresh burrito, and pretty much called me a liar. Will never come back, this place sucks.

The service is always warm and welcoming from the moment I arrive, and the food is absolutely delicious, every bite full of flavor! Elizabeth made the experience even more enjoyable with her friendly attitude and attentive care. She consistently goes above and beyond to make me feel valued. Highly recommend!
