El Fogón de Yuyu Restaurant

Amazing first experience trying Dominican food! Chef Yu Yu was so welcoming and helpful in explaining what options we could eat. Even other customers were so nice and can tell this was a local hot spot. We definitely loved the mashed plantains, oxtails, pigfeet. What a great stop on our fall road trip!

Went here with a couple friends last weekend and honestly it was a nice surprise. The place had a cozy, laid-back vibe and the staff was super friendly. I ordered the mofongo with pork and it was really flavorful, the seasoning was just right. My friend got the oxtail and said it was tender and full of flavor too. The portions were generous and prices seemed fair for what you get. Music was a bit loud but it added to the fun atmosphere. Overall, a good spot if you’re craving some authentic Dominican food and a casual night out.

I am Dominican, to find a place like this with good food, amazing customer service, and decorations it is amazing because it reminds me about my country and brings back memories 😍 it was a great experience. I will be back

Great local place we ordered a bunch of different foods. Best was definitely this whole platter of meat. We also ordered a tripleta and a burger, both of those were okay. Not bad but I’d probably try something else next time, pretty cheap too. Rice and beans were good, my daughter was a big fan. Service was great, helpful answering questions and explaining the food. Even offered to help bring the food to our car. Will definitely come back.

Incredible taste of the Caribbean! Been wanting to try this place out for a long time and was finally able to go. Had the churrasco, rice, maduros and agua de coco. So delish! Will be back to try the Cubano and flan...
