This place is SO good! I dropped in one day for some fish and shrimp tacos and dude- the fish tacos are some of the best I've ever had and I live in LA. The Taco Salad w/ carnitas was also delicious. I've already eaten here 3x this week and will prob come again tomorrow! The cheese enchiladas are SOOOOO good- I'm a purist when it comes to Mexican food and if a restaurant can make a good cheese enchilada + rice/beans then I know it's a great spot. I suspect everything is homemade (masa, tortillas, chips) etc and fresh. Super yummy.
I came here after working out at the Athletic club, and let me tell you this is an excellent choice for delicious burritos!! Just look at the size of that mega burrito. I paid $19.43 for that and I could only eat half of it. So, really it was two meals. Also service was super fast, and they brought the burrito to my table, there weren’t many customers that day. I’ll definitely come back if I’m ever in Mammoth again.
Scam business.. they charge an additional $1.25 under “genius charge”. When you ask for an explanation for the extra charge, they say that all Mexican restaurants in california have it, as if I’m not from socal who goes to a lot of mexican restaurants. When we said this is not true, they said that their boss told them to extra charge customers and can’t give us a refund.
I had the fish tacos which were ok. The sauce was not the typical sauce that I'm accostomed to with fish tacos (They used thousand Island dressing) The enchiladas were ok. Another person in our group had the California burrito, which was pretty good. The salsa was really good. While there they got really busy. Perhaps their tacos are good. I would definitely give them another chance.
I grabbed the regular burrito, it was really good. Green sauce is mild. Red sauce does have a kick. Aguachele cucumber on the side is a must!
