El Chapeado

What a hidden gem!!! We stopped here on the way home from the beach in an attempt to avoid fast food. So very glad we did!!! While the outside of this restaurant doesn’t look like a typical Mexican place, the food and service were awesome. It has a clean, comfortable seating area in the back where you order at the counter. The service was top notch and we were very well taken care of. The food was fresh and extremely flavorful. It had obviously been prepared to order and tasted incredible. We ordered carne asada fries, a steak bowl, a steak chimichanga, chicken fajitas, and the tacos Presidente. Everything came out exactly as ordered and was one of the best Mexican meals we have had in a very long time. The salsa, pico de gallo, and guacamole were so very fresh and were amazing.

It was delicious and friendly. The food is inexpensive and off the charts! Definitely will be back. Thank you for feeding us. The extra surprise is the restaurant is on the back of a store that offers Mexican baked goods, vegetables, and all kind of fun things like prensa masa, piñatas, etc

A great spot to eat and shop for your authentic Mexicano needs. Street Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and much more on the menu! Wonderful food full of flavor and experience. Service is point of sale, counter style. No servers/waitstaff. Location is good, plenty of parking. Food preparation: 7.5/10 Cleanliness: 8/10 *Service: 5/10 (Updated) Value: 8/10

Hands down the BEST Mexican food in Whiteville. If you ever find yourself within Whiteville please stop by. We usually ordered the gorditas and birria tacos. But everything we have tried there, we have fallen in love. So it’s a Mexican store at the front and a restaurant in the back. They are closed on Mondays though! 10/10 highly recommend it!

The food was delicious! Fresh ingredients and really authentic dishes, the restaurant is really pretty and you can also buy some cute hats there, we would definitely go back when we visit whiteville again
