El Bagel

I had a wonderful experience at El Bagel. The bagels tasted freshly baked with a nice chew and great flavor; the cream cheeses and sandwich fillings were flavorful and well balanced. The cafe has a cozy, casual vibe and the staff were welcoming and efficient. Portions are generous and prices fair — perfect for dine-in or takeout. Highly recommended if you’re craving a really good bagel and a strong cup of coffee.

Bagels are average. Not worth the price you pay for them by any means. It’s a hole in the wall in the sense that there is only bar seating against a window and a bench outside. We had a baby with us and people were not very friendly giving up their seating, even though they had not ordered from the establishment. The staff working the register was not very warm or friendly either but gave off a very cold and impatient demeanor when I asked questions about the menu. They have a very basic bagel menu as well. Again, for no seating and indifferent service, these bagels are not good enough for that price.

My mom is in town and was jonesing for a good bagel. I read the good reviews for El Bagel and decided to give it a try. The locale itself is very small. They have a counter to order from and counter against the window with 3-4 stools to sit and dine. They also seem to have some basic seating outside (think wooden boxes/benches and a couple of umbrellas). We weren’t able to sit outside because it was pouring but I’m sure on a sunny day it would have been suitable seating to enjoy a meal. They have tap water outside served in a cooler which is also a very nice touch given the weather here. They sell drip coffee which wasn’t my favorite and of course bagels and bagel sandwiches. Second time visiting El Bagel and just as delicious as the first! Brought my fiancé along this time and we both loved it. The bagel sandwiches are top-tier, and the coffee is just as great. It’s a small spot, only a few stools inside and some benches outside but totally worth the visit for the flavor and vibe.

I didn’t love this place. I mean, It’s ok but I was expecting a little bit more since it’s always so busy. The place is tiny so you have to order and wait outside and the waiting time is longer than usual for a place like this. However the service was good. The girls working there are really friendly. Finally the bagel came and it was ok, good, but definitely not worth the wait or the crowd. Maybe I didn’t choose the tastier one 😂
