Eggs Up Grill

Normally, I love this restaurant. I always get the cheesesteak melt, today I decided no side. I ordered through Uber Eats so I was unable to customize my order. I also checked through the website and was unable to customize it there as well. I find that to be interesting. I placed my order and quickly called, the woman I spoke with said no problem I’ll let them know you want grape jelly and no onions or mushrooms on your sandwich. She was very nice. I said thank you, and we hung up. When my food arrived, there were SEVERAL mushrooms on my sandwich and the toast was greasy. The bread was just that, bread with butter. No toast whatsoever. I was extremely disappointed today with this order, considering I spoke with the restaurant personally before my order was made.

Well I chose this place because I had never been, they said they were family owned and operated and the haven't been on Kitchen Cops (to my knowledge). When I arrived I was slightly disappointed in the fact that the hostess was so busy clearing a table with a server (where they were doing more talking than clearing) that she didn't notice I was waiting to be greeted. When she finally noticed me I was quickly seated , so that was good. My server came over (who shall remain nameless) greeted me and asked if he could get some water for me to which I responded yes and asked for 2 mimosas as well. The drinks arrived before my friend did and there was only one straw. I alao noticed the glass the mimosa was in appeared quite dirty which was an instant turn off. Ordered the classic breakfast. Two soft scrambled eggs, 3 linked sausage, raisin toast, two soft scrambled eggs and home fries. The eggs were not sorted scrambled they were folded like and omelet, home fries were cold, link sausage were over cooked. The service was great though and the atmosphere we chill and laid back. I would go back maybe at a busier time thinking food would be hotter and fresher.

1st time at the Eggs Up Grill and I really enjoyed the food. I ordered takeout and splurged a bit. I ordered an Omelet with the cheese grits, home fries, bacon and sausage. I really enjoyed the Omelet and the bacon and sausage were on point. The home fries and the cheese grits were OK, but both were missing something like a more flavorful seasoning on the fries and additional cheese. I will be back because of the great service and excellent omelet.

I go to Madison regularly to visit family and often stay overnight. We love going out for breakfast at Eggs Up! Been several times and the food is always amazing and the service is great, even though it can be a busy place. My favorite is the creme brule French toast with bacon. Kid friendly. Great outdoor seating space, too, for when the weather is good for it.
