Words can’t describe how exceptional the food and service is at Edesma. The owner and staff greeted us and meticulously went over the menu with us and made wonderful suggestions. The food pairing was delightful and we tried a handful of authentic dishes. Everything was delicious!!! Welcome to the neighborhood!

What a nice experience last night! Went here with my best friend after a long day of work, just starving and hoping for some decent Greek food.. ended up with a pleasant surprise exceeding any expectations! Owners/Chef & Server Mario were so welcoming & made it feel like a fine dining experience. Honestly felt transported to Europe for an hour or so. Food was delicious.. the Tzatziki sauce was other worldly & the hummus.. everything fresh & thoughtfully prepared. And the chocolate desert topped with baklava syrup & crumbs.. to die for. Thank you for a great time all around! Will be back.

Very nice place! Food is excellent, service is amazing, and the bread is to die for. Portions for appetizers—and in general—are pretty large and almost everything is one size, so come very hungry and bring some extra money. The place is also very clean, the staff is welcoming, and everyone else seems to also enjoy the food. I came back about 4 times now this past month and haven't been disappointed! The location isn't the best—it's in Hempstead which generally isn't the best of neighborhoods—and there's little to no parking. There are also not too many tables; I have yet to go there on a busy night but I'm sure there'll be a wait if you go on one. Overall, I highly recommend Il Cantone Cafe if you're in the area and are looking for some really good Italian food!!

If you're a fan of Greek cuisine I highly recommend giving this Greek restaurant a try. The delicious food, warm ambiance, very good service will transport you to the beautiful shores of Greece, if only for a little while.
